About Is Spokane Webpros a real employer or scam

Is Spokane Webpros a real employer or scam?
Does any one know anything about this site? They sent me an email saying this" Hello, Are you still looking for job? I have work that I need done by someone here in Lubbock. I have a routine task that needs to be carried out once per day on an ongoing basis. Wouldn’t take much time (few minutes per day), but it would pay well. If you are interested, you can fill up the form provided in our site: http://spokanewebpros.com/contact-us/careers. Make sure you select what position you’re interested in, and whether you prefer part-time or full-time. Thank you, Sean Roberts " I also received one from a guy named Matthew Thanks for the advice. I guess I just need it to here it. If is too good to be true then it probably is..

I would call the Lubbock BBB and ask them. If they have no record of this company I personally wouldn't bother. I have never heard of the company so don't know if it's a scam or not. BUT what sort of legitimate job would be carried out once per day that would only take a few minutes but pay well??? Except for drug dealing or prostitution I can't think of any other job that would pay well for just a few minutes

About A family member has been struggling to hold onto a job for many years.

A family member has been struggling to hold onto a job for many years.?
He just lost his most recent job and will be evicted this week from his apartment. He is 55 years old and a smart guy but is just can't seem to get it together. This is not a drug or alcohol problem to the best of my knowledge. Any suggestions on what he can do or an agency he can contact to find work and get back on his feet? He lives in Lubbock, TX and has bounced from job to job in recent years.

It's almost impossible to advise you without knowing what the problems were at his jobs. Maybe he just can't get along with people, or maybe he can't take orders. He might need some type of self-employment. As big as Lubbock is, there should be something he could do there.
2 :
Is he a veteran? I have a friend of the same age who wasn't able to keep a job, either. At first he couldn't stand to take orders, then it got physical and he got IBS. Now, he's permanently on disability.
3 :
You can't help someone that doesn't want to help themselves! He knows what he is doing is wrong, and there's nothing you can do to help. Just be there for him and support him. That's all you can do.
4 :
He may be suffering the symptoms of one or more of several mental illnesses. Such as a personality disorder that would prevent him from working with people. Or, he may be taking the wrong kind of jobs.

About I am a teenager who wants to live in NYC After HS

I am a teenager who wants to live in NYC After HS?!?
I am 17 and from a town called Lubbock TX. 250,000 people, and I want to move to NYC after HS. What are your thoughts on this? How do I do this? Where Can I live? How do I find a place to live before I move? I am going to get an EMT-Basic Certification so I can work in a hospital ER and then I plan to go to nursing school. I am very confused. What should I do?

NYC is a VERY expensive place to live. If you still want to go there, I would get your EMT training first, then look for a way to move there. There are hundreds of thousands of people in NYC who don't have skills to make a living. You'll be ahead of them if you have a marketable skill when you arrive.
2 :
There are many places available where you can live except Manhattan. The reason, Manhattan is expensive to rent a apartment. The average rent for a studio is about $1000 and up. My advice, consider renting an apartment in the outer boroughs, like Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. Also have enough money to rent an apartment, so if I were you, I would start saving right now. Since you're going to be a Certified EMT, the best I can tell is apply for the Fire Department exam and take the test. Once you pass the exam and train to be a paramedic in the FDNY, you can work as an EMT for the City of New York. At the same time you're working as an EMT, you can attend nursing school. I hope this information was very helpful. Good luck on you future endeavors.
3 :
Establish residence in NYC then you can go to Hunter College to become an RN at very cheap tuition! Its nursing program is very highly regarded.
4 :
well, to add to some of this very good advice,i would try living somewhere in the north Bronx, there are all kinds of hospitals there, and when you travel to work, the traveling would be easier, renting an apt, sometimes you would have to share an apt, and the rents are expensive, the subway and bus fares are two dollars one way, so if you have to take a train and bus, that is eight dollars a day, be prepared, nyc, is like nothing you have ever seen or been in, and do not listen to those television shows, they are goofy, i was raised in a place in the Bronx, called Woodlawn, these are all ethnic communities now, much different from when i grew up there, i would not return, nyc and i have parted ways forever, just not my kind of place, good luck to you, and that advice about taking tests for nyfd might be a good idea, don,t just go there unprepared, and don,t go without money, you will be living in the street for sure, nyc is that kind of town, take care, and good luck, and if you know how to speak spanish, with a puerto rican tint, you are ahead of the game, if you are irish, the north Bronx is for you, the rents run anywhere from six hundred to over a thousand dollars, and that is sharing an apt, you might want to go to YOnkers, which is right outside of the city, north of the Bronx, get yourself a map,and ask more questions on the internet, write to the chamber of commerce or whatever the tourist board, take it easy
5 :
There are many places available where you can live except N.Y CALIFORNIA SANFRANCISCO BAY ARER. THE BEST NO SNOW. NOT TOO HOT. http://www.travimp.com/partner/template.php?page=/destinations/westcoast/sfo/sfo.html
6 :
when you first start out, the best place to live is in like brooklyn or queens where the rent is cheeper, and then once you start making money from your job you can move to a move expensive area perhaps in manhattan maybe next to your job.
7 :
why don't you just come here first and figure it all out as you go along? otherwise you might just convince yourself never to do it. so many generations before you have come here on the fly and have done just fine. too much advice is almost useless, and this will be a chance to prove your mettle...

About Does Suddenlink limit P2P/Bit Torrent bandwidth

Does Suddenlink limit P2P/Bit Torrent bandwidth?
I currently have a 8mb line with Suddenlink (Lubbock, TX) which actually works pretty well surprisingly. I have to admit, my actual speeds are faster than what I'm paying for...I can download at 9mb a sec. So, do they limit bandwidth? I say this because the files that I am downloading (bittorrent) were going at nearly 200kbps when I reset my computer but then drastically dropped to about 20-30kbps. Not only that but my whole internet slows down to a near halt. It took my computer a whole 25 seconds just to get to the Yahoo! login screen! I mean, I guess I answered my own question...but if they in fact do limit bandwidth is this not something I can call and complain about? I mean, for all they know I could be downloading legal public access material...who are they to limit my bandwidth? Plus, like I said it limits my normal net usage too. Does anyone know whats going on and what I can do to fix this issue? It's just kind of upsetting to be paying $65 a month and not do what I want to do

Yes, they do! I am a server/network engineer with a local competitor in Lubbock and have done several tests on my friends and family Suddenlink connections which show that Suddenlink is throtteling P2P traffic. If you enable encryption for your torrents then things should speed up. I suggest you contact Suddenlink and tell them how you feel about them deciding how you use your connection.

This isn't an answer to your question, but if your heater core is blown be sure to keep an eye on your coolant level in the radiator. A blown heater core can leak coolant, causing your engine to over-heat.
2 :
You can get an electric heater at most auto parts stores and walmart. I hear they don't work too well, but I guess it would be better than nothing. You can go to repairpal.com and see what it would cost to replace your heater core in your zip code. I think they have links to repair shops too.
3 :
you will have to get very long extension cord first
4 :
I don't know how good it works but it's cheap walmart usually sells one simular to this made by red cross http://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt-rubberized-heater-with-fan-96144.html

Average is 58939$, depending on location, of course. [1] Prep for this can be done a couple ways; one, you can attend a vocational school or community school that offers a career path straight to become one. Another choice is to take a one-year certificate course at some colleges. Other universities may have other options, check out option [3], including getting an associate's or bachelor's, usually with physics, math, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, instrumentation, patient care/clinicals, and internships. Good luck! =)

Is it a bad thing to start working as a cop in one town only to go to another one for college?
I am wanting to get started in Amarillo, TX BUT transfer to Lubbock because they have an awesome forensics program & in my area the only way to be a CSI is to be a cop first. CSI is the end goal.

Yes, it would be better to apply to Lubbock first. If you can be a cop there, then move
2 :
You don't list your age here in your question. Generally, you must be at least 21 years of age, or 20.5 when you apply, to even initiate the employment process. If you haven't reached these ages, then go ahead and begin working on your degree. It can be difficult to work as an officer and then go to school. It can be done, but it won't be easy. To work in CSI, you will begin your career working the streets in uniform and work your way to the top. Best of luck.

Are there any high paying jobs for high school graduates?
I am wanting to move out of my house and I would like to find a good paying job that I can work 40 hours/week and not have to live from pay check to pay check. I just barley graduated High School and I live in Lubbock, Texas. If you know of any please let me know I would love to be making at least $9/hour! :) Thank you for your help

receptionist jobs could make upwards of 10 an hour, but healthcare jobs require some level of higher education. Hey, you may want to try being a medical record transcriptionist. i think that its like, a really short time to get trained and you can basically do it from home and make like $20 an hour (usually its on salary though) and roughly make about 35,000-40,000 a year! my mom does it and makes a really good living off of it. she is a single mom of 3 kids (her baby kaylyn is only 2) and stays home to take care of kaylyn and does her job from home and she loves the flexability. I would get itno that, especially if you have kids or even just want a flexable job! Anyways, just a thought. If you want more info on the jbo you can go to careerbuilder.com, salary.com or google and research! goodluck!

typically you have to go to college to make decent money...but you might luck into something.

Work Word Problem?
Juan takes 15 hours to do a job that his father can do in 6 hours. If Juan works 4.5 hours before his father joins him, how long will it take the two of them working together to finish the first job? Marilyn drove her car from Lubbock to Houston at an average rate of 48mph and returned averaging only 28mph. Find the time going and returning if the time returning was 5 hours more than the time going?

Juan has done 3/10 tenths the job already. His father works 2.5 times better than him, and they have to complete 7/10 the project. His father will complete 5/10 the job, he will complete 2/10. They will work 3 more hours. She travels 7/12 as quickly on the way back as on the way here. So, what took her 7 hours coming here, will take her 12 hours on the way back. It takes 7 hours to come here, 12 hours to go back, and 19 hours total.

About What are some good trucking companies to work for

What are some good trucking companies to work for?
My husband has had his CDL for 6 years. We are looking for a new comany to go with, because local trucking around here doesn't pay worth anything, we live in New Mexico. We were thinking about ABF or Groendyke. We'd love to move so that my husband COULD work local, as like I said, there's nothing local here in Portales that pays worth anything. We were thinking about a move to Albuquerque or Lubbock, which is only a few hours from here... does anyone have any suggestions? We don't want to move east or too far north, we want to stay around the Midwest-West-Southwest part of the country. Like I said, we don't mind moving if there's a good company to work for out there... just needing some suggestions. We don't want Swift, Werner or anything (the huge companies) like that, they don't let you come home as often as they claim, the loads are cheap paying and you get stuck under loads for several days and we never could make enough money to pay the bills, been there, done that. :-) Thanks!

have you check www.thetruckersreport.com They have company listing with info on the good, bad and ugle from the drivers point of view. Good luck in finding a company that is all that.

ABF. My dad works for that company, and he's always proud of the fact that his company does so well in terms of its employees' safety. I don't think I've ever once heard him complain about the actual company itself...he's been there since his mid-20's, and he's now nearly 60.
